Pintours Tour Tutorial: Android
Play Video Hi, this is a tutorial to help you get all setup on your first Pintour in Android!
To get started, head on onto the website to grab your tour code. The tour code allows you access all of the details of the tour, including the stop locations and tour commentary! If you’re in a car or using earphones, make sure your bluetooth/audio cable is connected before starting.
Once you’ve purchased your tour, copy the code and paste it into the enter code section on the page seen before.
Many of our tours have multiple languages so make sure to select a language that you prefer to hear from our tour guides! Also will need to download the tour in order to get started with the additional option of downloading the map too!
Once all of that is done, a display will pop up asking you to access the device’s location. This is necessary in order for the app to function properly. So make sure to select one of the first two options that allow for location to be used.
Next you can choose which option you want for the audio. They will all include the commentary, but you choose how you want to go about it!
And now you’re all set to get started on your Tour! Just press the Go button and get started on your journey!
Additional Info:
Map-The map shows you each stop in order of visiting. Furthermore, your map is completely scrollable and zoomable!
Pins-You can customize what stops you want and don’t want to visit! By tapping each pin, you can see the name of each stop. Tapping on the name will display a pop up that asks if you want to remove the stop from your tour.
If you accidentally removed a stop and want it back, refreshing the page by hitting the exit button and coming back to your tour will bring the stop back!
Audio-If for any reason the automatic commentary does not play once you enter the green circle or you just want to listen to it but not see the spot, you can tap on the pin to use Force Play Commentary in order to listen to it.
Uber:
If you are using the Uber Pass, make sure you have the uber app installed.Download Here
Once the app is installed, tap the Uber Voucher link sent to your email or phone.
Once that is setup, you will be able to start your Pintour, just open the Pintours link and start the tour.
You can order your uber to each stop by tapping the uber link in the top right
But make sure the uber voucher is selected for the payment option:
If its not there, just tap the payment options button and select the Pintours Voucher.
In our app, you’re able to quickly and easily order an uber trip to your next destination. Just open the app and at the bottom, scroll right in the Cool Info Section until you can see the Uber icon. Tap on the icon and the uber app will open up with a trip to your next stop!
Troubleshooting:
Our 24/7 support is always available at 844-958-2728. Don’t hesitate to text or call with any questions at anytime• Background music is playing, but commentary is not playing
• Make sure you’re in the green circle for the automatic commentary to start
• If it's still not working, just tap “Force Play Commentary” as shown before, by tapping the pin.
• Tour link or audio won’t load
• Make sure you are connected to the internet
• If still not working, contact Pintours
• Uber link is not launching
• Hold the link and tap "open in uber app"
• Background music stopped playing
• Reopen the page and tap the play button
• If you’re far away, it could be taking a while to load so wait about 30 seconds before
• Restart the app and open the tour once or twice
• Directions not displaying
• Wait until the intro finishes playing
• Screen keeps turning off
• If your phone is in low power mode, please charge it. Otherwise you will need to keep reopening the page.
• Go to phone settings -> Screen or Display -> Timeout -> 5 mins
